This really hits because we are in this scary enviroment but that has become normal now so we know we dont need to be scared about that. The real fear is that we change into something we dont want to. If this is the only attention we are getting and he manages to tickle that positive emotion in our brain it will grow acordingly. Everything else, hating, resisting etc takes energy and our brain is not up for spending energy. Its made to be efficient. And efficient means getting used to it and just letting it get his way. This really dug under my skin! :3
