Let's face it the krays did what they did but more corrupt police and government people did a lot worse.

Look at it now? Yeah, I was there a few weeks ago. It seemed fine. If you mean it's overrun by gangs, that's how it was in the sixties. They just don't wear suits now.

Charlie did ten years in prison for a crime he did not commit. If he was inclined he could have told the truth and gave evidence at the Old Baily that would have his name but no for he would not drop his bros in it. Normal if you're a proper brother.

Charlie Kray was a real gentleman,the police that set him up should be ashamed as like the previous time he served a long sentence he was innocent. So the poor guy had so much time spent in prison for no reason.

@Sidneyyoungblood75 Thanks for the correction. I knew that there was a story about Liston being scared in the presence of Ron Kray. I did not realise it was over a driving issue. I obviously got my wires mixed up.

When I was a child in the early 70s we lived next door to his partner Diane's parents, when they were up visiting I would fetch Charlie's cigarettes from the shop for him he'd always give me money for getting them for him .

Sadly he never had two Bob to his name most of his life, got set up and sucked in when he saw easy money, as nice of a guy that he was, he should of had more awareness/sense about him, especially after being stitched up previously.

Now clearly I have no personal knowledge but all sources I've heard and read say the same thing: Charlie Kray had little or nothing to do with the "Firm". It seems almost as if the 'authorities' (whoever they are) decided that the name Kray was enough to be relentlessly harassed. As for the twins,they were bad men and deservedly were sent down but, and there is a but, those sentences seemed disproportionate in the time served. I suppose "they" had to be seen to make an example of organised crime. Not surprisingly it failed.
@sajaad38433 күн бұрын
TheKrays never got a fair shout I’ve seen the documentaries read the books The judge was harsh when he came out the sentences and still wouldn’t let them out after 30 years. Last file people saying that the EastEnders better than is now I agree went there for a few weeks back. It’s an absolute shit hole went to the blind beggar for a few drinks.
