It may sound strange but you played a big part in literally saving my life this year. I checked myself into rehab Jan 2, 2024 after 4 months in ICU with first liver, then total organ failure... and without substances I had nothing to help quiet my mind and ease my anxieties except for your videos. Maria, I give so much credit to your videos for getting me through to the end of a very challenging but rewarding year. I left my partner of 7 years in January, moved, lost 75lbs, and paid off most of my debt. Next year I’m moving back to the city I love to be close to my friends. Maria, I am 24 years old but I feel like I’ve been in a similar life chapter as you this year! I had my first baby this year and found out you were pregnant! I got engaged to the most amazing man right around the time all of your wedding planning videos started coming out! I have been on a journey to start moving towards a more natural lifestyle, so I have religiously kept up with all of your tips and tricks on your Sassy Masha channel! Lastly, I stopped working to take care of my baby, leaving us on one income and felt discouraged by seeing everyone around me engaging in this overconsumption of products. Your video talking about “using it up” reminded me that it is normal to provide only what you need for yourself. It was an incredibly difficult year for me personally. Moving to a big city. New job, no friends here, crazy amount of work, lonely and empty apartment, worries about money and food, constant fear and regret, and tears every single evening. I can't even recall how many times I've called my mom on the phone with "I made a mistake, I shouldn't have moved here". But it was always your channel, Maria, and other ASMRtists (including your sister Olga!) who were really grounding me and telling it was going to be Ok. It was really calming to hear a familiar voice and see a familiar face on the screen, while everything else was different. I know now that it all was just extreme stress and I really made the right choice. I have a little more hope for the future now. Thank you so much for your work. I wish you and your family and your new baby all the best ❤ I hope you never feel alone. You are actually making lives better.

Masha, you are like a warm mother’s hug that I never got from my own. She is loving but very harsh and distant. I have watched your videos for over ten years and you have given me so much comfort (and incredible tingles too of course). I suffer from bipolar disease and adhd, and because of that i’ve lived a very self destructive life searching for anxiety relief and dopamine kicks to get by. Trying to survive every day. But everytime I watch your videos I feel so touched that I’ve occasionally cried because of your loving nature, and that is a gift that almost no one have and none of the drugs can compete with your warm and caring persona. I can’t thank you enough for that. You are truly one of a kind and I wish you and your family all the best. Going to be going back to Grad School to finish my PhD this January. Im excited to have been accepted and have the opportunity to get back to doing something I love very much but also a bit nervous since Ill be 40 in 2025 and will be as old or older than many professors. However, I know that no one really cares about that. If you have a passion for what you do and you work hard, it doesnt matter how old you are. You channel helped me to relax and sleep when I was in school before, back when you first started your channel, and it continues to help me sleep now. Kudos to you, and Happy New Year!!

Congratulations on being accepted! I took 10 years off before returning to postgrad studies and completing my Masters at 35. A lot of people pursue their PhD with a little more age and wisdom, and significantly more life experience. I've seen many students significantly older than yourself finishing a PhD. Life happens, and it's better to pursue these goals when you're ready, when the passion is there and you know you really want it, otherwise you burn out! All the best with your studies.

Hi Maria! The biggest changes last year! I started a new job and moved in with a friend and their 3 kids, dog and chickens. We hatched 20 more chickens, started keeping bees and composting, built an vege garden, fixed the dam pump, decluttered the house and shed. I attended four excellent festivals. It was a big year. No big changes for me this year, but I did check a big item off of my bucket list: take a family trip to Sea World, Universal Studios Orlando, and Daytona Beach! 🐬🏝 We are not a family that gets the opportunity to take annual vacations. It took many years of saving and penny-pinching during covid, and I’m so thankful that my husband and I got to experience this with our babies. We had a blast! Maria, this has been the hardest year of my life yet. I’ve gone through tremendous heartbreak, and I’m still recovering, and I will be recovering for a while. You and your videos have been an indescribable blessing and comfort to me, for the last 8 years! Your skills in asmr are unmatched. Your never-ending creativity is so fun to see. My biggest change: I returned to the US after living in Japan for the past 8 years, had a falling out with literally ALL of my "family" & "friends", wound up at a homeless shelter, followed by a halfway house, and I HATE EVERYONE. ASMR has kept me sane and relaxed during the WORST YEAR of jy life so far. Thank you Maria, Emma, & Frivy.

2024 was a beatiful year for me! I got married in march and had a wonderful wedding with the love of my life. I was also pregnant for the biggest part of the year and welcomed a baby girl. I felt valued and useful at work too. 2024 truly was a blessing ❤

I got married to the love of my life this year! I also had my first baby; he didn’t make it earth side and losing him was by far the most difficult thing I have ever had to go through. I miss him every day but I have faith I’ll see him again. And he’ll have a brother next month! I’m very grateful. Cheers to the New Year :)
