Thank you for sharing this. I have an MSC app in and I'm also an RN. Do you think being an RN and socialized to the healthcare environment makes me a more competitive applicant for a MSC position? I earned a business degree years ago, but quickly became an RN. MSC seems like a good pathway into another career field.

Thank you for your comment. How i see it honestly is, it's good to have the RN background and understanding of the verbiage that is used when in the position of an MSC. However, you don't necessarily need it. Like how my buddy Matt is, he's doing some great things without having the RN. One of the major differences, is I'm at the hospital M-F versus 3 days out of the week as an RN. I'm not use to it. The good thing is, as an RN you will be able to branch out eventually.

Hey thanks for the video! I’m actually looking into MSC while thinking about getting my masters. Very informative video. My only question is that is a AACSB make you more competitive because I’ve talked to a healthcare recruiter and he said it only has to be from a nationally accredited masters. The mba program I’m thinking about going into has a ACBSP accreditation.

it's to make you more competitive. i honestly don't know what the manning numbers are looking like on the MSC side, but last i heard is they are always looking for people.
