@@YasinAlMohanak Yes, I own a blue shutter. I dislike YYF now and stop playing because of their worse Australian Brand Marketing Manager. I make an honest comment about their defective new product. He bashed me on Facebook. I do collect old YYF stuff too. But now all in dusty boxes. They should admit their mistake by at least give a discount voucher or a replacement. He choose to do a bad advertisement. Have many bad experience with yoyo community in general. That's why it can't go big into the market. I used to like to watch Gentry Stein's how to's video because it does help to progress faster but not anymore. Pen Spinning is better than yoyo. Thank you for asking. It's good for my mental health.

dude i learned this trick like 17 years ago before youtube was real big, i must have been like 12. The website had only step by step diagrams, it took me sooooo long but i felt like a badass once i learned it lolol. keep up these videos, its definitely niche, but folks need these step by step videos, its hard to find anyone that knows how to teach it!

When I try to do this the more advanced way, by swinging the yoyo into the mount, I can only get 1 flip(sometimes 2) before the yoyo dies. If I do it the easy way, and place the string into the yoyo gap to get the mount, I can get a bunch of flips. I have been doing it with a one and a Dv888. I get the same issue with both. Am I losing momentum by swinging the yoyo over my finger into the mount? It's been a few weeks now.

@@2ruthwastaken - Actually if you watch YoYo Tricks (or maybe YoyoExpert) they say make the first loop with your YoYo hand and then make the following loops with your non-YoYo hand; I have seen it both ways as well and was wondering the same thing. Same effect for the trick I guess but I am curious to know which one is the "official correct" way to do it.

Just keep practicing and you will get the hand of it. make sure to push the hand into the string in a circular formation to avoid hitting the knuckles.

I don’t understand. I’m using a sage, responsive ball bearing yo-yo I’ve got everything down to a science but as soon as I try this trick and I wrap the string around the yo-yo it stops and tangles the shit up, so how the hell are you supposed to do this with a responsive yo-yo? I can’t goddamn make it spin any faster. As soon as there’s more than one string width in that narrow gap against the friction pads, the yo-yo stops almost immediately.
