In death/black metal, lo scream è un ulteriore strumento. Non vederlo come una voce. Anche io non lo capivo/apprezzavo, poi sono stato conquistato dalla maestria strumentale di Enshine, dove lo screamed/growl è minimo, e ho maturato il gusto...ora ascolto esclusivamente melodeath, post-black, e deathcore, e spesso se sento qualcos'altro mi trovo a pensare "qui ci starebbe bene dello screamato"
