For now, this is one of the only sound samples available for the Genzler Magellan Pre. I took the leap of faith (backed by a money-back guarantee) and got one. To keep this comment short, let me just say that although I still can't play like Nate Navarro, the SOUND in this video is very realistic with respect to what I'm able to get very easily with my FRFR cabinet. So far so good!

Genzler’s stuff is very well built. The knobs are not floppy or too loose when turning. Sound wise it is an outstanding pedal that is sitting permanently on my pedalboard. Great review as well.

Hi- looks pretty powerful. When doing demos is it possible to use one bass? I don't want individual pickups or pre-amps to influence the actual settings or tone shaping on the box. I understand showcasing the product under the best/probable conditions for sound and playing style, but I think you can understand my pov too. I will be checking it out, knowing that Genzler gear is quality stuff. Cheers!

The third bass is a very passive P… Here, every player can find something. And buying anything solely on the basis of a video played by a seasoned pro, is a bad idea. You can get an idea on the sound, and then either buy and like, buy and sell, or buy and put it in a drawer. Or not buy, of course 🙂

Very cool. I love my 4 on the Floor OD, the functionality and build quality are top notch. I like what I see but I do like having speaker sim options as my sound goes FOH and I feel it's a pretty necessary feature. I would guess rolling off some highs would help mimic a speaker sim.

Contour B here functions like an analog speaker sim. Could also check out the Tech21 Q\Strip. Magellan head is awesome and I'm sure this pedal is awesome too.

Just wondering will this work with a David Gage Realist pickup in my double bass just wondering with the 10mg ohm output of my pickup work with the impedance if the pedal? Cheers

In the real world you would do this with the re EQ the preamp would only be for room acoustics...

Please dont cut anything below 41 Hz (lowest E string frequency) if you play 5 strings. The 5th will sound like a mosquito
