I can't seem to get a good grip of wielding acrylic together. The edges always look nasty.

That’s because you haven’t seen modern welding technology, like manufactures are now able to weld plastic pieces together, something the car industry has done for years, or welding two different plastic pieces such as found in aircraft technology.
