Neat example of a Paleoproterozoic ophiolite! Interesting how the oldest (unequivocal) eclogites and ophiolites coincide around ~2.0 - 1.8 Ga. I imagine this has implications for the creation of modern subduction zone settings. Looking forward to the video!

It does. It is strong evidence for plate tectonics in operation. The entire area looks like a complete Wilson cycle.

@@stevenbaumann8692 I really do want to understand more about your field its just hard for me to "get it" or get into it, I think that the things I am into you have covered - like crystals - and glowing rocks - yeah I know they are not called that but I cant remember what they are called. Also is the world is running out of sand? Maybe you could or did talk about birthstones? Also crystals and how they form and like did life come from them? IDK for me that is the stuff I want to know about because I can sort of get my puny head around it. Logic is my thing. I can at least do that. XD When will you come out to SC so we can dig up stuff or whatever?

Yes. I don't know why the term suprasubduction was ever introduced. To me it's confusing. Why use a term that basically means "over and under plate recycling" Obduction is the older term I was taught and still use.
