Geo Tracker no start repair, quick fix!

In this video i explain the diagnosis and repair of a 1995 geo tracker no start condition. Someone else had spent alot of time and money throwing parts at this without success. I show the diagnostic process i go through and the failed part I found using this process.

Very educational. I recently purchased a 95 geo from my mom. She parked it due to it not starting and when in went to hook up the jumper cables I found some of the nuts and bolts holding the positive wire on the battery were loose. I tightened them up and haven’t had any trouble since but after watching this video it made me think. I will probably check for corrosion on that resistor

Am having the same no start issues but the ignition is working the injector i test for a 12volt reading and the reading show 12 then 8 then 5 but i dont see the resistor connections you showing but i do see a 3 pin parts look like a resistor

Hi man Daniel here my car does the same if i spray fuel into the intake it starts, but the moment i stop spraying it dies, I did also test with noid lights on all 4 and do have continuous light on them flashing when cranking. It does look like the flashing on noid lights goes a little bit dimmer as I am cranking over, is this normal. Lastly my resistor like the one in video has only 3 pins with two measuring over 2000ohms but other two is just open line, I thinks i will replace that also and check it out from there.

With regard to the noise suppressor that you need to replace, where on the car does it mount?

It just hangs on the firewall underneath the wiper motor on the drivers side

My husband has a 93 Geo tracker he is having problem getting it to start most of the time. Has good battery and good starter (he says). He let the brake fuel run completely out, when he filled it up is when the problem started. We are bleeding the brakes to see if that helps. Can the problem be between the starter and the brakes?

I have a 95 Tracker and just put in a new starter and it clicks a few times befor it starts, brand new battery, and positive terminal and brand new starter. Any idea what to do next? I took it back to the store and they checked it out in the truck and it checked out good even though it took a few clicks to start.

If it's a manual transmission, there's a button under the dash that's depressed by the clutch pedal. It closes a circuit when depressed . It may need adjustment or replacement.

I bought a 94 geo tracker that wouldn’t start we did all kinds of trial and error but there is just no power to the coil ! We’ve replaced the coil and still no dice it’ll crank just won’t start :/

I was unable to find this part, however making one using inexpensive resistors has proven to work without an problems.
