I am a retired Traffic copper and while I never drove Volvos operationally (they were after my time), I did own a V70 T5. What a car that was; I removed the subtle T5 badging and surprised lots of people with it.

My husband was a class 1 in police, some time ago, think he had the Rovers, and my son is on Traffic and its BMW and the bikes as well, sad to say hubby injured out, and my son now can't drive either, so now inside😢

My first car was an ex police car - a 1969 Morris minor. Someone did it up before me and it was metallic maroon with a beige vinyl roof (to hide the hole where the light was) and fat tyres. It was my favourite car ever

Such an iconic car, not just police, but touring cars too. There’s dark gold T5-R with smoke grey wheels not too far from where I live, they’ve had it years and it still looks immaculate. A lad I used to knock about with years ago who had the nickname “stig” (Simon) bought a red T5, it was fettled with and was a proper weapon 💨💨 You can’t beat the soundtrack from a boosted 5 pot. Thanks for this video 👍🏼

Cool to catch up and an impressive restoration job on the historic Volvo! I remember the pick-up video when the owner collected the other 850. Got to be wondering now if you can make a deal with Steve and get the donor Volvo 850 back, with the beige interior...and do a Christmas challenge! With the crew, Ian and Geoff vs Lee and a 'mystery guest'. A 'ferry & carry' (made this one up on the spot, a first I think) to and from the big Calais wine supermarket. Here another idea, hard to contain these actually 😄Thank you kindly Geoff and Steve (and cameraop, little Geoff). Cool to see and fun to hear there is so much interest 👏

Haha, Tasty Classic's Panhard, the most wonderfully road-legal (cough) rustoration sat next to the fully liveried Volvo. Steve's done a great job. Brilliant stuff! A story for Steve Woodward, in the 70s we lived in Prince Albert Road Milton, the local Bobby was Ted sibley 1234, dad made fun of that saying its the only number he could remember, anyway we'd been out for the day and came home to find "uncle Ted" sat in our house eating his fish and chips and not only had he let him self in the back door was sat down watching the TV With our ketchup Hello uncle Ted He was ment to be on duty and let him self in to our house haha incredible really, he later became a jailer and when I got arrested for driving my landrover over Southsea Common I said hello uncle Ted, he ignored me, maybe his fish and chips was getting cold in another room haha
