Thanks Espen - it was awesome to see the grouse and the setup you've put together for the workshops was really good - hope you've had plenty of uptake for 2024 :)
Great video! I enjoyed seeing all those grouses fighting and them ruffling up their feathers too! It looks very dark out there at first but worth it for all the great footage. Thanks for sharing

Thanks very much - glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, the grouse arrived well before it was light and it was pretty gloomy for much of the morning..

Nice one Geoff, I enjoyed watching that very much and reminded of my time up on the hill with Espen a few years back! The experience is fantastic and the sounds are incredible. Nice work Geoff and good to see you back at it. Cheers Rich 👍

@@GeoffCooper that’s awesome Geoff, watching yours really took me back there! Cheeky walk up isn’t it? 😂👍

@@RichardBirchett Yeah, I can see why Espen likes using his e-bike for going up and down sorting the hides out!

A great vlog Geoff and good to see you back on here. Myself and a friend was there the very morning before you and as you say.....was a bloody wet day but we still got some great images and the experience on a whole was fantastic. Hopefully will get to do it again in the near future. Keep up the good work mate 👍👌

Thanks :) Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, it was a pretty soggy day you were there then! I think Espen even had to take the hides down the hill to dry them out and then take them up again later that day!!

@@GeoffCooper haha,that wouldn't surprise me. Just hope we get another chance up there as i know Espen is thinking of moving back home 🤞

Thank you very much and welcome to the channel! The black grouse were so cool to watch! I do have another one with black grouse coming up later this year but editing is delayed by having a new baby in he house :)

What an experience Geoff, I love the two tone blue black colour of the birds. Quite the back drop too, will have to make the effort one day and see the Leck myself. Quality shots as usual, loved the jumping shots. 👌 🙂

Yeah, they're absolutely incredible! Definitely want to do that again and have a wee project for the spring where I /might/ have found a lek... You'll be more than welcome to come along if I do find one!

Looks a great experience, Love the video and the stills. How do you find the 1.4 tc with the 400? Just about to buy a 400 4.5 and wonder if ti worth getting the tc with it
@GeoffCooper Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much - glad you liked it :) The 400mm f/4.5 with the 1.4x TC is great and has been my go-to setup for a while now, so yeah, I'd 100% recommend it. It does lose a bit of sharpness vs. the bare lens but is very usable. The new 600mm f/6.3 is sharper, but also doesn't have the possibility of being a fairly fast 400mm.....
