Hi Jess! I only got 36 correct answers today. I did see that there is bound to be mispronounced words. Sorry but I just have to do this. Michigan is not pronounced Mich a gun. It's Mish a gun. I hope you don't mind me doing this today. I'm in Wisconsin and Michigan is across Lake Michigan from us. It's one of the Great Lakes. If you stand on the shore of either state, it looks like the ocean because you can't see to the other side. I have a vacation house on an island in Wisconsin called Washington Island. If memory serves, the island is 35 square miles. You have to take a ferry ride over (car ferry) to Washington Island that takes from 20-30 minutes. The island has a grocery store, gas station, a hardware store, several restaurants, a grass air strip, a school, a book store, a civic center, a police station, a bank, a fire department, bed and breakfast inns, hotels, etc. School is rarely canceled due to weather conditions like blizzards because it is all right there. Barely any kind of inclement weather will deter getting the children to school. You can take a tour vehicle for a guided tour of the island, climb high up a tower to look over the entire island, visit a lavender farm, or go to any one of 3 beaches. Some of these places are closed in the winter. I'm going up next month.

I thought how is it possible that Michigan has 11,000 natural lakes and Ohio has 0 since we border each other. When I looked it up, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources says Ohio has 110 natural lakes (still surprising)
