0:56 -- Those junction markers (white pillar with a red band) are unmistakably French. Also (a pedant writes), _dépannage_ does not mean breakdown, but breakdown *recovery/repair* 😉 6:45 -- Those yellow-and-white stripey box patterns on the road surface are always in S. Korea, in my experience, though I'm never too sure _exactly_ what they mean. I would guess it's simply "slow down". It's not specifically tied to the pedestrian crossing ahead, because that's indicated (as in Japan) by a painted white diamond on the carriageway. (Another decider: the triangular warning signs have a yellow background in Korea, a white one in Taiwan.)

Thanks! I have improved a fair bit, but country streaks were fairly new at this point and as they've developed, the community in general has learned a lot more about how to recognise countries. Quite weird watching old country streak attempts now that quite a lot of people have become really good at them!

Could take a note out of GW's book and add 5-10 minutes of blank video at the end, that way we don't know when you're about to lose the streak. Watching that 13th round I knew you'd lost it as there was only 30 seconds of video left! Very good try though. Also the contrast between your no-nonesense, speedy guesses and GW's slow ramble filled guesses are hilarious to me haha

Traffic sign hints: 3:55 That property marker is only found in Alberta, and tells you which highway you're on. In this case, it's the secondary highway 881 Hope this helps!

Canada -- FYI CO-OP is a co-operative federation that has stores in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. They also have feed plants and gas stations (and an oil refinery). So seeing a CO-OP sign means you're in western Canada.

Came from GW. As you say, the sun was no use. Obviously it moves between the tropics ~24deg either side of the equator, which is quite a wide area (nearly the entire length of africa), so can be noticeably north and south for most African countries depending on time of year.

"Well, that's clearly Guatemala and this is definitely Israel" looking at a road and some trees for 3.5 seconds. Uh, okay? Is there a middle ground between GW searching 8 countries for a specific hotel or steet name for 9 minutes and you clicking a country after half a blink? That'd be great :D

Traffic sign hints: 0:56 -- Very obvious French junction marker-post (white with a red band) and fire hydrant, but you got it a few seconds later anyway! 4:11 -- Yes, Canadian speed-limit signs have one line of text ('MAXIMUM') at the top; US ones have 'SPEED LIMIT' spread over two lines. 7:12 -- Taiwanese warning signs have white backgrounds; South Korean ones (as here) have yellow. The chequerboard pattern on the road surface at the crossing (7:07) is another South Korean clue.

Can someone explain why Guatemala is so easy to recognize? Also, I think it's amusing that you can't remember the Jordan flag, yet later in the same video you said "Those signs scream South Korea". How are you recognizing a blurry sign and not a national flag, the way you go about it is interesting.

India has very little streetview so it’s normally Bangladesh. Also India uses yellow plates and has a greater diversity of scripts

Honestly mate anyone who knows a lot about geoguessr knows that these rounds are guessable for a good player. I share challenge links for a lot of the games I play in my videos, so I do challenge rather than play by default. Very weird to accuse someone of cheating when you obviously don’t really know what you’re talking about. Just out of interest how would clicking “challenge” mean I could possibly cheat?

I have thought about this and yes with skilful enough editing, and having the same game open in another session by using the challenge URL you could cheat - but to what end? Do I think he is doing that ? No not a chance.
