The symbol in the Angolan flag is a machete crossed with half of a cog wheel, similar to a hammer and sickle. The symbolism is pretty much the same as the hammer and sickle, symbolizing the unity between industrial workers and rural peasants. Being from Scandinavia gives me the native ability to instantly tell Swedish from Danish and Norwegian thanks to the letters ä and ö, which are only found in Swedish. It's æ and ø instead for the other two languages. Anyway I'm proud have actually beaten you this time around, Tom. Got close guesses on all rounds except for the Uruguay round where I had to guess based off the vibes, and went for the Dominican Republic. Andorra, Angola and Sweden was easy but the India round was mostly off a hunch (unofficial coverage, script looking slightly more Hindi than Bengali, the whole scene closely resembling a part of Dehli I had seen in a video years ago). Final score: 20005
@kareem8533

The letters "Ä" and "Ö" are also common in Finnish, but the language is so different from all the other Nordic ones so it's a no brainer to know which country are in. In bigger cities Finland also have all the street names in both Finnish and Swedish.

Tip: if you see ä or ö in addition to å, it's Sweden. Danish and Norwegian use æ and ø instead of ä and ö. Also, the Bengali alphabet is more angular than the alphabet used by Hindi (and Nepali!). If you take a moment to look at them side by side, it'll be pretty clear. Got a 24901 myself. Was able to narrow the Montevideo one down to the Southern Cone, then went with Uruguay based more off feeling than anything else (these pics are usually near the city center, so not dense enough for Buenos Aires; not tropical enough for Paraguay; not enough mountains for Santiago de Chile). Stockholm I explained above. Last one came down to Delhi vs. Kathmandu, and went with Delhi because of the Lahore fruits store and Arabic script on signs (Nepal's Muslim community is much smaller, and doesn't have close historical ties to the Punjab).

The biggest clue in the final round was all of the English text. Bangladesh sometimes has English (mostly street names above shops) but you rarely see every building plastered in English like that. There's also the fact it's a photosphere. Bangladesh has been on street view for a good while, so photospheres in built up areas are rare. India, on the other hand, has only been partially added to street view recently.

Some tips for the messed up Stockholm round: 1. ä is a letter you will only find in Sweden (among the Scandinavian countries). 2. Swedish taxis have yellow number plates. 3. STHLM (clearly visible on that shop sign) is a very common abbreviation for Stockholm. 4. That "Fatbursbrunnen" is not the name of a district, it's the name of that block. You won't find that on the map.

I got 21,461 and made the exact same city mistake on the last round Tom, ugggh. Save travels here in the US man! Can't wait for the vids. Also, I loved this format with the mistakes and without editing. Good authentic vid format that makes your life easier, I'm good with that.

There literally was a big "STHLM" sign in the Stockholm round Tom, you're slacking :D

I never saw anything like STHLM on any signs. But if I had I probably would just assume it's a hipster store name.

This video has got me pumped for 3 things: first and foremost, I think I beat you for the first time (I went New Delhi at the last second); second - I can't wait for how not to travel the states!!; thirdly - It's a Geoguessr video from GeoWizard. I liked it, possibly more than the ones where you search for a long time - I just don't have the will to do the same.

This might be the first time I've beaten Tom at one of these, and I absolutely whiffed the Angola round (I guessed Mauritania).

My general geotips based upon these rounds: Andorra ✅ - mountains and general feel Uruguay - South American, but can look European, long Europe shaped plates (also found in Brazil), black Google car (didn't see it) Sweden - Langauge (you got that), 4 lines on pedestrian crossing sign (can also be found in Bulgaria but different stick figure design. Also in rarely in Norway), Swedish Road names tend to end with 'gatan' India - tend to find line over script in North (I cant discern from Bangladesh) , left hand drive, tuk tuks, unofficial coverage / photosphere ALSO GREAT VIDEO FORMAT PLZ DO MORE ✅✅

It was painful to watch that STHLM round, especially as a swede. I was hoping he’d notice “STHLM” and translate it to Stockholm or notice the differences of the street names between the Danish and the Swedish language! Good video still!

Tom, just wanted to drop a comment saying you don't have to worry about the quality of the video at all. I myself love your video's for YOU, your personality. So would love to see more of there raw uncut video's if you have the time to make them. But dont feel obliged to, since I am sure everybody absolutely LOVES the bigger adventures with more edited video's. Just saying don't worry about uploading some "lower" quality video's becuase I enjoy all the content !

That Denmark round hurt to watch as a Dane. You were so right at first. Hints for telling is the spelling of road as mentioned in another comment, but also the use of “æøå”. In sweden they use “äö” instead. Regarding the number plates we have a pretty typical EU number plate these days. You will also see white number plates with a light yellow on the side where the EU blue is used to be. If the Google Street View footage is kinda old you will also see full yellow number plates in Denmark. The yellow represents that the car is a company car.

Tom you should do a country flag tier list, or rank your favorites or something along those lines. I did one a couple of years ago and its fun to look back on, and I would love to see your opinions on them :) Thank you for the great content and I hope your US trip continues to go well!

In Sweden, taxies have yellow number plates. In Denmark, plates do indeed have a red border, but also commercial vehicles (those registered as vans) have yellow number plates. There is also a "semi-commercial" license plate type where the first 1/3 of the plate is yellow and the rest 2/3 are white.

Another pro-tip for Scandinavia. The vowls «ä» and «ö» is just Sweden (you might find similar in Finland). Double A «Aa» is very common in Denmark (we had them in Norway, but all signs and streets have changed it to «Å»). And «Æ Ø and Å» is very common in Norway. So if in doubt, that can be a tip.
