A little trivia about tournament taken from polish broadcast: After every match, winner was interviewed by polish commentary team (Zio and GeoMex). Players were sending greetings to their mothers (and all their opponents mothers), because tournament took place on 26th of may, which is Mother's Day in Poland. Swangambit after his first match (with Tylko Olimpia) said he lost one round only because of no clicking, so in fact he feels like he won 4-0. Sadziu and Kuba Fracek are great friends IRL and they were training together before this tournament. Sadziu also know Swangambit. They said to the polish commentary team before tournament, that when they play against each other, they know where oppontent is going to pin beforehand. After his semifinal, Swan was asked which player from second semi he prefers to meet in the final. He said Sadziu, because for him winning with Sadziu should be easier.

I watched whole tournament with polish casters (great job to commentators, Zio and GeoMex, and ofcourse to Graf) but it's nice and entertaining to rewatch it here and listen what you guys think about games 😂 P.S. if you want to shorten "Tylko Olimpia", you'd rather say "Olimpia" than "Tylko". "Olimpia" is for Olimpia Grudziadz, favourite football team of this guy, and "tylko" means "only" in polish. So his nickname is bassically "Only Olimpia".

I feel like ZI8GZAG did a good job, though I do think Rainbolt is a bit more entertaining and keeps it moving quicker. I definitely hope we'll see as much Rainbolt casting as possible, though ZI8GZAG is a strong 2nd.

I don't get why NMPZ is only played in the decider. I think it's the most entertaining/interesting game mode. I don't understand this decision in BO3s and it's even worse in BO5s because it happens even less :/

NMPZ is like penalty shootout in football. It's really random so pros usually just point somewhere in the center to be safe

Penalny shootouts are the most interesting and entertaining part of football, but you don't have it in every match 😂

The format is simply not balanced. There needs to be 2 of each round played. The overall point difference could be the tie breaker if needed. NMPZ players are disadvantaged tremendously.

I liked zi8zag's idea where at the start of each game there's a coin toss and whichever player wins it gets to choose which game mode is played first. Then the other player gets to decide which of the other two modes is second, and the mode not chosen is used as the tie-breaker. That way there's more variety to all the games, more strategy, and it's more fair to players who might favour NMPZ.

Its not people from other eu countries have to get to the wc through the emea tournament against top tier players while polish ppl just got to go to the wc against other bad top tier enemies in poland

wishfully excitement can be articulated most accurate by saying : THAT'S IT ! Massive improvement on many levels can be seen here. Shout out's for everyone involved.That's what creates fascination for educational commentary ! Spoiler alert: we see more than one winner on both sides: players same as casters. @geoguessr let's get into details: @GeographyChallenges is the best commentary asset for @zi8gzag - they work better than anything you tried before. Even when you threw them into the tough 6h solo marathon. Of course with the unbeatable passion for the game, throw in also Trevor and Jake Lyons, Bloom (or Rachel and Jill). Just keep it real on a humble level. Poland looked outstanding great today. The grey shirts underline something. No words needed by making their focus and guesses speak for them - they couldn't look more dedicated, ambitious and exemplary. Even so disciplined, the tension was up to the max. What if there is much more than one wildcard scenario in the future ? Can we see the eight best of several more countries competing ? ... and one friendly reminder for the caster in control of the round-preview: please don't move on NM- or pan and zoom on NPSZ-rounds. it kills the mood ...and it would be cool to blend in some recording of the sounds of a medium size audience, which could be other players, friends and guest, to improve the acoustic atmosphere.
