Just finished your playlist for the first time, going to be listening through another 2 times at least. Just want to thank you for making this education accessible, and that by sharing it, you have changed peoples lives and their outlooks on their own future. Myself included. Thanks to you, and my life long love of rocks and minerals in general, I will become a geologist. Thank you for everything you did here.

I’m a 73 year old woman, okay old bat, that likes to keep learning new things. I totally enjoyed your series and plan to rewatch all of them. I took an online geology test after watching them and scored 25 out of 30. I’ll aim for even higher next shot. What got me watching was your way of teaching, your gentleness and your enthusiasm. Thank you for doing these and being so free with your knowledge. You’re an amazing man. ❤️👵🏻

I can't thank you enough for uploading these videos. I have been enrolled in an online Geology course that I found extremely difficult to learn from due to the lecture format and presentation of materials. I found your videos out of desperation halfway through the semester and it turned it around for me. The last two exams and the final were night and day from the first two, and I just find out I will be passing the class with a way better grade than I could have hoped for! You absolutely saved me from failing and restored my enthusiasm for the subject, as well as helping my GPA a lot. I look forward to watching your videos on environmental science, just for fun this time. I wish I could send you a gift basket or something. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Online schooling has been a curse, but also a tremendous gift. I am an Arizona State Electrical Engineering student. With learning being pushed online, many professors such as yourself uploaded your lectures publicly to KZbin; that’s huge. I look up a generic “Geology 101” type search, and found this lecture series.. I am getting the highest quality information, on hand, at my own pace, free. Beautiful. Granted I don’t have the book, and I haven’t taken the quizzes… but I feel I have learned a ton. Thanks!

Thank you for putting together this course. I have successfully filled 1.5 subjects in a 5 subject notebook with notes that I can reference if I forget anything that was talked about. By far the most comprehensive into class to geology that I've found online and I appreciate it immensely. I've lived in the Western part of the USA for most of my adult life and being able to now analyze all the fascinating rock structures out here and know to some extent how they came to be fills me with joy. You've unlocked an extra layer of joy when hiking, travelling, and adventuring. Thank you again and I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos. :)

Thank you for making these lectures publicly available. I just completed your physical geology lecture series over the last couple months. I did so out of basic curiosity, not as a supplement to course work. I am an older fellow approaching retirement age. Quite a bit of the material, I was at least a bit familiar with, but I had never taken a systematic introduction to physical geology. It's a subject I had been curious about since childhood. I read a fair amount over the years, but not to the extent that I made a major hobby out of geology & natural history. I had been wanting to take a systematic introduction for some time, but never gotten around to it. Thanks once again. The presentation was very approachable. I learned quite a bit.

Thank you for posting this excellent first course in Geology! This is one of many interesting subjects I never got around to taking in college, being an engineering major. As a graduate teaching assistant, I taught engineering hydrology for 5 semesters. We learned how to manage storm water runoff in a limited way, over a limited area, up to a precipitation event of limited scope, for a limited time. Beyond the limits however, nature goes back to doing what it always did. Thanks again!
