I absolutely LOVE your channel!! Thank you for the thorough walkthrough. I am able to create the geometric flight route using the DJI RC Pro with DJI Pilot 2 for the Mavic 3 Enterprise. This option was included in the latest firmware update. Keep up the great work!!

Thanks. Someone else said the option only appears if you have the RTK module attached. I need to look into that. Would be nice if they have made the change to allow for both. Glad you are enjoying the channel!

It seems that came out after I created those missions but it certainly appears now. I did say "as at the time of creating" 🙂 Interestingly they have now also added the linear route, which was previously not available, so both of those now work. Thanks for the clarification!

Can we create these types flight routes in RC? And do we need RTK module & D-RTK2 for performing this kind of missions? I have dji mavic 3 Enterprise with rtk module but don't have D-RTK 2. Can i use this feature?

Hi. Yes, you can create these directly in the RC. That was not the case when I first tried this but, after an update, it is now available. Just start creating a route as you normally would and it will show up as one of the options. You do not need an RTK module to tun these. You don't need the D-RTK...at all...ever. It's a nice tool that works seamlessly but, IMHO, there are better options such as the Emlid Reach RS2+ or RS3 which do the same job, for less money, without locking you in to DJI equipment. Another option is to use a CORS network which avoids the need for a base station in many cases. See how to do that here kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXa2iamPnrZoptU

you CAN create them on the controller. Could it be that you don't have the RTK module installed on your drone? (Not sure if this is a pre requisiste)

Very interesting! I have an RTK module but I only install it when I need it. I'll take a look and update the comments here once I've checked it out - thanks for the input. It's amazing how much I learn when I put these videos out.

You are correct. It seems that came out after I created those missions but it certainly appears now and I didn't need to put the RTK module one. I'll have to see if there is a way to edit it - I might be able to cut it out. One nice thing about Vimeo over KZbin is you can replace videos, but YT doesn't allow that. Thanks for the correction!
