It's because a triangle's area is... A= 1/2(b)(h) or easier A= b×h ÷ 2 so we need to know the a^+b^=c^ (^ in this case is 2) then when you find all that you put in you values for the A to find the area

To found H you need to use Pitagora Theorem.

people who is asking how she got 16... once you get to the step square root of h squared = square root of 256 what you do to get (h) on its own, square root h squared to get (h) and square root 256 which is 16 I hope that made sense :/ :)

Does anyone else here LOVE math like I understood what she was saying so you are pretty much first you divide the base by two then use the pathagrium theorem then after that you solve it like a single step equation (algebra 1) then you take the square root of both sides to get h then after that you plug it in to the formula and that's what I got out of it
