A very talented creator, GDVesuvius, managed to recreate Geometry Dash in Geometry Dash. Yep, you read that right - they managed to make GD with GD's editor. Today, I tried it out, and saw just how much Vesuvius was able to do when limited to the editor of the game they wanted to recreate.

Quick note: I discovered the ship achievements in this level are bugged, so they don’t appear. I hopped into a copy of the level and found out the ship achievements: Ship 2: Complete the third level: “2.2 When!?”. The achievement is called “2.2 Soon!!!”. Ship 3: Collect 20 stars. The achievement is called “20 Stars!” Ship 1 is the default ship.

I think i know how the password works that saves your progress. At the end of the stage, it shows a random password based on your progress. The password is based on what levels you completed, how many star coins u collected, etc. The creator assigned a unique password to most different senarios, like if you beaten level 1 with all coins, but beaten level 2 without coins, they assign a password like 000001. Meanwhile, if you beaten every level with every coin, they assign the password 000002. Note that these are just examples to help you understand. Obviously, it is impossible to save levels you made due to the fact that there are an endless amount of combinations that it would be more than 1,000,000.

I did some manual testing and figured out exactly how it works: First digit and last digit stores all the combinations you can have with 3 colors and if they are unlocked or not. Second digit third and fifth store data about the 3 levels, if you completed it, which coins you picked up. Fourth digit stores if you picked up the coming never coin and the gauntlet levels you beat You cannot input any out of bounds value or have the fourth digit higher than 1 if the 2nd 3rd and 5th digit arent all set to 8 And so with that, the highest number (which also basically immediately finishes the game) is 7 8 8 6 8 7

You unlock the secondary red by doing 25 attempts (I think) and the secondary white is a troll. you click it and you unlock it. Also in the new update of the level you get ship when you complete 2.2 when. You can see how to unlock icons and colors by putting your mouse on the icon or color you want to get

If you hover over all the locked colors/icons, it tells how to obtain them… And if you don’t understand the hint for secondary white, it’s a troll lock which can be unlocked by simply selecting the color.

Wanna know something funny when I first started playing GD? So I beat stereo madness for the first time but I didnt know what “Beating it” was. I thought it went on forever so once I reached the end I thought I didnt unlock the next part of it and I was really sad and confused.

Alright so for all of you wondering why you can’t save the level editor, here’s why: There are 624 spaces in the level editor, each with 9 possible block values (8 objects+white space), which means there are 9^624 possible level combinations that could be saved. You can’t possibly put that number in perspective. There isn’t even a good name for that number. It’s a 596 digits, so good luck trying to memorize that. That’s almost a googol^6, or almost a centillion^2. Even if you could somehow memorize this, I couldn’t even imagine the absolute nightmare it would be to make that into a geometry dash level, even with SPWN or something like that.
