In this video, we look at the geometry of involute gears. We take a closer look at the various parameters such as module, standard reference pitch circle diameter, operating pitch circle diameter, circular pitch, meshing pitch, etc. The involute is created by rolling a straight line on a base circle. The resulting tooth shape leads to favorable meshing conditions when two gears engage.

Glad to have such great video...Salute for the effort you made. one small confusion may be am wrong ...at video 11:06 You mention da = do+2ha ...how come da=do+ha which means da=m(z+1) not m(z+2)

Thank you. The formula should be correct because you need 2 times the tooth head plus the diameter of the reference circle.
