1:04:28 There is an even scarier question. Namely: *If Israel has the right to defend itself, then perhaps Iran, China, North Korea, Russia, Cuba, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Syria, Palestine and everyone else have the same right?* And this question is much scarier. Because it means the final collapse of the entire system of diplomacy created after the Second World War. And if the United States does not stop arrogating to itself the exclusive right to rule the planet, then this question will inevitably be asked not only by Russia.
@Ravakeksis19 күн бұрын
The question is what is Israel defending from against Gaza? Palestinians are recognised as occupied by Israel since its effectively open air prison. And occupied peoples have every right to fight for freedom against their oppressors. Israel is retaliating. With war crimes. When Germany genocided millions we didn't let them be a country for 50 years. At the end of this - does Israel even deserve to exist anymore?

52:27 Thank you for mentioning Operation Storm. Just a small correction: "Operation storm: Croatia operation Storm that was meant to REtake territory that was CONTROLLED by Yugoslav loyalists, Serb Yugoslav loyalists" Serbs were indigenous population of that area, and lived there for at least 1400 years. No one can retake something that it never had. Serbs from Kraina, (famous and brave Kraisnici) wanted to stay with the rest of Serbian population, spread over Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Monte Negro, Macedonia and Serbia. Word retake is therefore inadequate. Serbs were simply defending the place where hundreds of generations of their ancestors have been burried. Many Serbs from Kraina lost their family and cousins, brutally killed and masacred during the second world war by Ustase... The sentence should be corrected to: Operation Storm, that was meant to OCCUPY AND FINISH OFF ETHNIC CLENSING practised by Nacis during the second world war, of territory inhabited by INDIGENOUS Serbian population, who were bravely DEFENDING own motherland.
@krusnamrvica444123 күн бұрын
Soooooo incorrect. 1) Serbs came there during ottomans aggression. Just 1 question, how Serbs were there 1400y when knin (capital of that area) was capital of Croatia kingdom during king zvonimir. 2) operation storm didn't do ethnic cleansing, that operation is one of famous operation in all military academy in the world coz not attacking civilians. Beograd and paratroopers of sao krajina was forced civilians to go away, most of civilians were killed by Serbs paratroopers and let to die on bih Serbia border coz Beograd didn't want give them entrance. Talk with Serbs from krajina. 3) Croatia rebuilded all houses and construction and gave keys to Serbs who lived there 1990. 4) krajina have never been part of Serbia, always part of Croatia, in Roman empire (iliric), in medical period part of Croatia, in Austro Hungary also part of Croatia Dalmatia and banovina, in krlajevina shs was also part of Croatia, in Yugoslavia part of sfr Croatia 5) krajisnici started kill Croats not opposite when Croatia did independence despite they have all law and humans rights like Croats and other national minorities. Only Serbs did shits, coz belgrad lied to them like Johnson to zelensky. Exactly same thing All in all, krajina have never been Serbia and no ethnic cleansing by Croats (Serbs do own ethnic cleansing like ukraine now trying do stupid things when loosing a war)

Partially, you are right: NATO did performed an ethnic cleansing of Serbs. But admit that, some parts were patrogonical area of the Serbs, but, the same areas, were patrogonical area of others, like Croats. How can Pontius Pilatus (USA) solve this mess ? According to justice ? Simple answer: According to their own special interests.

@@eurtunwagens2359 Many people are wrong about NATO in Yugoslavia wars. NATO didn't wanted independence of sf republic. They fought for Belgrade. Usa and gb through UN gave sanction to Croatia (trade and arms embargo). NATO was enemy of Croatia, Russia Belorussia and Argentina helped Croatia. Usa attacked us, killed more Croats in posavina than Serbs. First political parties in Croatia didnt like west, but after 10-15y betrayels in government get us in NATO (without referendum) and EU (changing referendum law 1week before, then change back law after EU referendum). Americans didn't know about operation storm, they knew something coming and they told Belgrade, then Belgrade forced all civilians to leave krajina to got media propaganda about ethnic cleansing. I don't wanna make Croats saints, war crimes are in all wars, but on level of country and cro army haven't been war crimes, only single soldiers and groups like now with Russians in Ukraine war. Russia fights fairly, like Croats, but always anywhere have idiots. NATO picked Croatia side when they saw war is lost for Yugoslavia. Like they will do with Ukraine. I understand that USA feels cheated as Tito has been paid as far as 1974 to arrange splitting of Yugoslavia after his death, which he did not do properly, but hey, one thing is money and another chaos, tyranny and death. You talked about Deutsche Welle (DW) and the restrictions that employees are subject to. This pro-Israeli reporting is a matter of course in the German media and also in politics. Currently, a so-called “anti-Semitism law” has been passed for culture, which also equates any criticism of the state of Israel with anti-Semitism. Cultural venues that are critical of Israel or even just pro-Palestinian are deprived of state funding. Some even have to close. Despite everything, and I do not consume Tik-Tok, fragments of the truth can still be found in all media, including DW. And if you do a little research on Palestine/Israel or Ukraine/Russia and use international media, it is possible to avoid the corruption of the state's desired narrative. The internet has been disproving false narratives such as “a country without people, for people without a country” for decades. Anja from Germany

Because there are continuous exchanges of information between Erdogan and Nethaniau towards Putin, the one who would like to continue the battle against the Kurds, but the new tenant of Syria Al Jalani does not want to allow to touch. One of the biggest issues is when Trump won, the Ukrainians knew it was the first nail in the coffin. So it is impacting the population and the soldiers. Neither want to continue the death and destruction when they know a deal is inevitable and they won't take back the lost land. So they're now literally fighting for nothing, anyone who dies between November and the deal is dying for nothing, they know this, it is psychologically terrifying to know you might die for nothing, so why risk it? just leave your position and wait for the deal, that's what any sensible man would do. This is being seen on the battlefield with the daily retreats and high amount of court proceedings against deserters/insubordinates.

Exactly! Trade between the US and the RF would only be an option if the whole matter was handled diplomatically from the start. However, diplomacy has failed and the problem is being solved by military means. This means that the Russians have already paid for the resolution of the problem with their own blood. There is no reason for them to pay again as part of some quid pro quo exchange. Besides, there are no longer any guarantees that the West can give Russia that can be trusted. Even Putin, who has so far been relatively open to cooperation with the West, is already aware of this. In my opinion, a point of no return has already been reached in this conflict. The Russians may be offering the possibility of peace negotiations, but in practice it will be a matter of sharpening the conditions for the West's capitulation. Trump will have no choice but to accept Russia's terms, otherwise the conflict will continue, with equally bad prospects for the West. Thus Trump can only buy his painless exit from the conflict. He can get nothing more. We'll see if he takes it.

Analyses like this that acknowledge the incremental loss by Ukraine are difficult to hear but appreciated. What is missing is the absurd inability of Russia to simply overrun Ukraine. Ten thousand NK soldiers cannot gain an inch in Kursk. And the human cost for Russia. And if conquering some property is worth a million lives. But from an American Democrat who has watched Trump for decades, I think giving any weight to his promises or attempting to understand his motives as a thinking, calculating politician are futile. He is motivated by the immediate reward that self-glorification brings him. He will use the tools of fascism to gain and retain hero worship. That is the lens one should analyze him through. Trying to figure out what he wants for America - well that is nothing. He is going to kick out most of our farm labor, and impose punative tariffs on our two neighbors. That will inflate the dollar, as anyonne can predict. Deortations are already shutting down farms that cannot harvest crops. Trump doesn't care. Not about health care here, not about education, nor ethical behaviro, and certainly doesn't think about the Russo-Ukrainian war. It is just another forum for his grand theater of egocentricity.

Regarding democracy in the middle east, democracy means different things in different places. I live in Indonesia and the country is democratic with a fairly strong culture which is clearly its own (and is majority Sunni Muslim). However, you don't really have rule of law per se in the sense of a written code that rules everyone, Instead you have an unwritten code which protects everyone well (probably better than Western rules of law) but operates somewhat differently. I think that just exporting Western approaches to governance doesn't work. Indonesia's approach is a product of the country's unique history. The difficult thing to understand is that Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria (now) might actually look more democratic than any other alternative in the Middle East in terms of creating a social order where popular revolution by the people is possible without violence. Explaining why I think this though is complex. Yes, the terrorists might be the actual forces of democracy there and we need to learn to figure out how we are going to coexist.

@ The interests off USA is to protect USA. Here it’s partners has failed miserably, for my country we have failed to do our part, in Greenland, for more than 25 years, and by the latest statements from the Prime Minister and Defence minister, just 24 hours old, the plan is to continue to fail. ( they have no plan and just admitted to it publicly) I don’t expect Russia to make a military attack on Europe, but Russian to be much more influential in Europe, exploiting what they can. This is already happening. Just look at what happened in the Middle East, where major NATO countries are engaged in a conflict, but NATO is not even mentioned. NATO is already gone !
@LuisAldamiz23 күн бұрын
That's impossible: the USA needs its Empire to be able to guzzle around 25% of world's GDP (effective wealth) and thus not just massively reward its corrupt oligarchs but also drop some crumbs to appease its highly developed and growingly restless proletariat. It also needs Europe (or at least parts of it) to put pressure on Russia, to protect Israel and all its other assets in West Asia or "Middle East", to keep China away from the "Mare Nostrum", which is not anymore the Mediterranean but the Atlantic Ocean as a whole. Thanks to NATO the USA controls not just most of Europe (which uncontrolled would easily become a rival to US Atlantic and Mediterranean hegemony) but essentially everything to the Iranian border (after the Turkish conquest of Syria). Trump's isolationist rhetoric is just that: electoral propaganda. The only way the USA can actually be more or less isolationist is via communism and that's a big no-no for the Washingtonian Regime.

Very shallow treatment of democracy, essentially making the point that as long as the incumbent, however unsavoury, reflects the will of the people, it's democratic. That's a quite insidious pro-Putin stance. Democracy is about open access to positions of political power. E.g. Trump could actually win, and power is transferred. Zelensky won, and power was transferred to him. In Russia, if anyone builds up a chance of winning over Putin, that person gets novichok in his underwear well before the election. Rossi looks like a straight shooter superficially, but he's only that when criticizing the west. In no way does he tell the truth about e.g. Russia, which is an FSB ruled mafia state that does whatever it can also to suppress democracy and prop up dictators and authoritarians abroad.
