It’s no secret that Uncle George was on crack for a long time (I heard him say it out of his own mouth). Fantastic interview....1973....Mothership Connection...changed this 17 yr old life. At 66 yrs old I still have P Funk Starchild (you CANNOT play one without the other)....Give Up The Funk ....the way Bernie Worrell took over that song at the end...the best, simply the best. Just recently heard the 1993 remix "One Nation...." with Ice Cube...now I can't ride without it. God bless this man....

I had the pleasure of attending his Farewell tour last year and he didn't miss a beat. The entire show was phenomenal. Bless the rest of his days until he finally flies away to The Mothership. ❤️ 👽🌌🪐🌠 3/20/23

That man is a treasure! I grew up (like many others) listening to and being influenced by his music and when I met him in 2003 we hung out for hours picking each other’s minds and talking about music and creativity. The man smoked weed for the whole 5 hours we kicked it 🤣🤣🤣 And he embraced me like a nephew which is why I told him he’s my Unk Funk! 💯 . He welcomed me into the P Funk family and the very first time (among several other times) seeing Parliament perform live…I was on the stage with them! He told me that I had dope lyrics too and initiated keeping in touch with him…That’s truly a dream come true! He told me about being a Rakim fan too, and recited Microphone Fiend word for word. LONG LIVE DR. FUNKENSTEIN! 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽

I am a Generation X human being and I am crying in Elation at the fact that drink Champs has grown so beyond what they intended because this is a history lesson I'm not just hip-hop but a history lesson of how Black Culture whether it's music Art Theater literature what have you build on each other and for that matter all cultures do that but we just go talk about the Heavenly melanated skin tone people. I so much appreciate this podcast even more. I pray that this particular episode gets in the millions people see George Clinton and not connecting the dots but they need to hear this and see this because this is a part of the foundation of Hip Hop. Maybe the last poets Ameer Baraka or somebody neck jonomer you can see and hear from them maybe who knows but this brother King Baba George Clinton is on the mark and we're so glad that you got him to do drink Champs kudos
