Herzlichen Dank! Kudos to the Pianist as well. The Piano part towards the end is a beast to play

Bravo. One of my personal favorites from long ago when I was a younger lad. 😉

Wow. I think we can expect an album for EMC Classical in the future! Simply gorgeous playing! Interesting use of alternate fingerings that I have never thought of - 123 for low C with the slide all the way out. I’m guessing this is to combat a flat tendency?

Thank you so much. 123 for low C is mainly for sound reasons. I like this sound, because it‘s not so open, it has a special colour that I prefer at the end to the open C. But as a matter of fact it‘s also a little bit more stable on my trumpet, especially with mute. I don‘t know why, but it seemed to me more appropriate ;-)

In what key is this trumpet keyed? Is it an E flat trumpet?

It‘s a normal c trp

At 1:15, why do you play that note 123 with slides extended?
@immanuelrichter30083 жыл бұрын
I like the sound better, it's somehow more closed. Like on a low g string, and not on a d string, that's more open. I always think like a string player, when I play the trumpet
@immanuelrichter30082 жыл бұрын
@@Atptplyr thank you so much. I completely agree with the centering of the low C. Especially on my trumpet it‘s very helpful in pianissimo

This caught my attention as well. Never would have thought of this! But it does give the note a more 'veiled' quality which works perfectly. Genius!

Can I ask what mouthpiece and backbore is it, it looks quite short. Thanks :-)
@immanuelrichter30084 жыл бұрын
in this recording it's a Breselmair 3G with a small backbone (like for piccolo trumpet).
