Lashawn McConago Reality check.. 1. Sharpton is 'selective' when involving himself in anything that benefits his agenda.... 2. His personal income from his own 'charity' last year was over one million dollars....He's made an extremely lucrative career from 'milking' gullible people.....(god sure does move in mysterious ways !!!!) 3. I wonder if he offered any financial assistance to attending families who have faced similar losses under similar circumstances or any assistance, financial or otherwise, to Dorn's widow/relatives..... a retired black officer recently shot by a black youth. David Dorn spent a lifetime serving his community, while Floyd spent his time robbing and abusing his own community and in particular, a pregnant black woman at the point of a gun, pointed at her unborn child!!!!! He was in the process of robbing another of his community when arrested and killed. I'm not condoning the killing...but if you live by the sword, there's a good chance you will die by the sword...This recent killing of Floyd doesn't fit Sharpton's agenda as no 'white' was involved...Sharpton is a hypocrite, made worse by using people's belief in a fictitious god and historical past events to whip up hysteria while filling his coffers......

Indeed, I was thinking the same while listening to this eulogy. Lack of customary/ direct prodigy or successors of Black leaders has plagued Black society since our original movement in the 1960s. With many of our leaders died the unity and organization we’ve always needed. Overall, Black society has always needed a balance of those with the know-how to rally in the streets and those to with the know-how to negotiate at the round table. It may not be safe to say, but I would hope that our current leaders, both young and old, are directly investing in prodigy, not even just one, but two or three down the line to represent them to the best of their ability in their absence, along with maintaining fresh/ new mindsets for the future..

As I look at these comments I feel the distaste for Sharpton. I didnt care to much for him. Well he heap hot coal on the devil head. An whoever is upset at al Sharpton or find him distasteful with his inspired message from God. Is the devil cause only the devil get mad and angry.

He is angry because he is upset how long have we got to keep on begging for life? I know when you stand together in unity stop buying in their shops grow our own food. Stop buying their clothes stop begging them their jobs. Be successful and raise our own govern our own. Live right do right by our own.

Why do they call it a eulogy. He didn't base his speech on the life of George Floyd.Yes he should speak as a black activist defending the liberties of black men but a eulogy should have been done by someone who knew George very well.Maybe his son or a sibling.

I find it ironic that over the last three months millions have not been able to breathe and have also lost their lives to a plague; a different plague...But the plague that African Americans, brown people, the poor whites even have been unable to breathe for centuries. I am with you all, I will open my door if anyone needs it. Thank you George for (dare I say) for giving your life to make the changes that have always been just waiting for a door for change to be opened. Thank you to George's family for allowing us to be a part of your journey. Whatever I can do...

Much respect to Reverend Al Sharpton but I believe God use George Floyd death to initiate real change no activist has ever brought this much change in my lifetime I’ve never seen it before so God use the death of George Floyd to bring attention real attention to our problem now we can finally begin to breathe and yes activism has helped Martin Luther King and many others has fought the good fight for us but it’s something different about this time🙏
