Ye, never had an impact outside except Louis actually went to war for his country. Guess I didn't really get what you was saying my bad, guess I thought differently of the word "transcended". Didn't mean to cause an argument. What I meant was like Ali those fighter laid down a kind of blueprint for future fighters to follow (especially Sugar Ray).

The "only" boxer ? Joe Louis "Sugar" Ray Robinson Jimmy Wilde Harry Greb I could make a list of other boxers that "transcended" the sport, that all changed the face of boxing individually and added a new layer.

i beat him up for six/seven rounds, six rounds for certain...then in about the seventh round he started screaming 'IS THAT ALL YOU GOT GEORGE'?

And I don't mean he had the biggest punch of course he did not....He knock me out in about the 8th round. LOL. Ali's punch seem to have some snap too me.
