@drewmccaw color does have a bit to do with it, its a known fact that blacks are generally athletically superior to whites. Have you ever asked yourself why the vast majority of the best athletes in most sports are black? They're just more athletic, it isn't everything but it most definitely helps, a lot. Prime example is Larry Bird, he was a very smart and great basketball player, but imagine if he had the athletisism that Michael Jordan had, I'd say he'd be even better than MJ.
