That’s what a real puncher is though. Even when he was younger he would practically compress heavy bags with ease, almost as if he was bored. It looks like he’s barely pivoting and yet he’s somehow generating a ton of power.

This is one of those records that I will believe it was broken when I see it. I do not think that I will be seeing it though, as this is extremely difficult feat to accomplish even once let alone 20 years apart. You have to win it young, retire, come back and do it again. Hard to see anyone doing this any time soon, if ever. In addition to cementing his own legendary status, he cemented the status of all those '70's fighters, that one of their own also managed to conquer the division two decades later.

For a seek-and-destroy puncher? He had a truly impressive defence. Great parries, good head movement, terrific jab to destroy his opponent's rhytm -- and then you have his repertoire of old-school tricks like leverage blocks, stops, and pushing/holding. Kenny Norton fight is a great example: legendary boxer who got completely disarmed and destroyed. I still see George stopping Norton's left hook by putting his glove on Ken's elbow joint before it could land.

That is correct. Foreman made the mistake of throwing his heaviest artillery from round 1 against Holyfield and Morrison and that scared them and made them fight cautiously. Nearly everyone in the division took notice and realized outboxing Foreman with lateral movement wasn't that hard. Moorer got cocky because Foreman didn't put a lot on his shots to give him a false sense of security. Once Moorer stopped moving around and tried to take Foreman out, it was like stepping on a land mine.

What people forget is all Michael Moorer had to do was stay away, and not trade punches towards the end of that fight. Instead, Michael Moorer showed the heart of a champion. Moorer has the heart of a lion, but George has the heart, body, head, and fists of a Silver Back Gorilla that has been around the block a few times and then some. Foreman was a freak of nature, and an apex predator in a jungle full of dangerous animals. I will always love seeing the old lion that is long in the tooth school the younger lion that underestimated him/her. The lesson is to never mistake an older man's strength for weakness.

My friends dad grew up in 5th ward around the same time as George Foreman. He said George’s street was Monkey and he had a reputation of catching guys coming out of the bars and literally would pick dudes up by the ankles and shake them down for everything they had on them.

I remember hearing about this in junior high school. George won his title back! Was all over the news. I didn't know at the time just how special that feat really was. I was 14 lol. I'm glad I lived to see that happen.

At first, I never knew foreman had a comeback. I just remembered disliking him cause of the way he beat Joe Frazier. But then I saw him fight morrison, holyfield, and of course moorer and now I am just mesmerised by him.

"George had learnt many lessons in his 45 years... not just the technical lessons.... George learned the invaluable ability of taking a beating calmly!". Very powerful comment which obviously shows that Foreman learnt a lot from his defeat against Muhammad Ali.

Ali past his prime, with almost 4 years of layoff not being able to fight due to his license being revoked, fought an in prime tip top shape George Foreman, who was almost 8 years younger than Ali, Ali beating a prime indestructible George Foreman knocking him out. Ali also beat indestructible Sonny Liston who was George Foreman mentor, when Ali was just a youth twice. How is this possible? Ali was extraordinary
