One Two Three . . . Infinity was published the year I was born. Some years later I acquired a paperback copy. It was the first important book that inspired me to study mathematics and the sciences. Somewhere along the way I lost it, but a few years ago I replaced it with the Dover edition. It’s still a good read.

Still it's bothered me that Penzius and Wilson won 1965 physics nobel prize for the discovery of cosmic microwave background radiation(CMBR).but the first theoretical CMBR model was came from G Gamow and he Didn't awarded nobel prize.his contribution in physics was enormous.he was well worthy for Nobel prize. but he never awarded nobel prize.

One of the biggest Nobel snobs in history was the 1965 Nobel prize awarded to Penzias and Wilson who did not have a clue what did they found with the Bell telescope.

Edward Teller said of his friend: Gamow was always ingenious and usually very much wrong.
