This has been my theme song since I was facing jail time for some trouble I got into when I was a teen. Friends disowned me, teachers dismissed me. I turned my life around and became pretty successful. Showed them all. Don't count the dark horses out.

All the 7th frett capo's wont stop this being an awesome song. George was a late bloomer with the Beatles songwrtting.. But he made up for it. Also a brilliantly inventive slide guitarist. Economical yet fast/ and tasteful. A true Legend. May you be remembered always George Harrison. XX
@TheRaNdOmLiFe10005 жыл бұрын
Most of his stuff he tried to pass to the rest of the Beatles but they waved it away without even caring. We’re lucky we got something, while my guitar gently weeps & For You Blue. I heard they (Paul & John) were sticklers for having Ringo or George write or pass a song onto an album. This is what ultimately made “All Things Must Pass” a FANTASTIC album. They must have felt like shit after that. Till this day All Things Must Pass is one of the greatest albums of all time.

I've heard post live versions of this and I don;t like them as much. I must be the only one who thinks the fierce rasp really suits this song. George had a healthy a level of anger churning inside him according to those who know him well and this is just what this particular subject matter needed. BALLS.

@kevinshaughnessy25286 жыл бұрын
Glenn Wheatcroft Their achievements are legendary that in itself can become overwhelming. As was the case with John who would not be left alone by the press media about his anger. He was outspoken as was George the quiet Beatle until he had something to say, that he felt was important. It isn't easy being bigger than Jesus Christ!
@thebrazilianatlantis1653 жыл бұрын
He had an unhealthy amount of anger, from where who knows. He lacked gratitude to John, Paul, and Martin for letting him sing and contribute songs so much before he blossomed in about 1968. They used "Only A Northern Song," for goodness sakes, a song about not bothering to write a good song. Being a musician who's friends with Lennon and McCartney from childhood must mess with your head.

I remember he played "In My Life" which is the only Beatles song I can remember. But I'm not the best judge as it was just exciting to be visiting NYC and being at Madison Square Garden and seeing a Beatle, he could have sang nursery rhymes and I would have been thrilled.

He wrote some of the Beatles most musical tunes...he was the only Beatle cool enough to walk out on stage with Deep Purple, and cool enough to record with Petty, Dylan and Roy Orbison...he was a musician first, a Beatle after that.
