I think I read or heard from a mouth that George in 1970s was worth a good few million..that's a lot back then. He makes it out like he wasn't rich but he was ..not filthy rich , then, but well off that he could have retired. At the time of his death I think it said 200$million. One time, I was really heartbroken because my best guy friend, Guy was with another girl. I was sick to my stomach and completely crushed. And George came up to me with that black curly hair and sweater, and when he noticed my tearstained face, he was so sympathetic. He asked if I was ok. I answered warmheartedly, but still kinda tearful, "Yeah, I'll be just fine, George." And George said super sympatheticly, "Oh......." And I just came up and laid my head in his soft sweater for comfort and he just gave me a big hug and told me everything's going to be alright. He's a sweet friend.💖💖🌞

A few years ago when they cleaned up the music films of Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields - I saw a video of Ringo in the present watching those and commenting on them - so between that and here with George watching a performance of This Boy - there are two instances of two former Beatles watching themselves as Beatles - pretty cool. As an American I have a question about when George said he paid 93% of everything he earned to the government...in taxation. I thought that the 93% only kicks in "after" a certain income level has been reached. For an example: Like if he earned $100,000 a year, the threshold being $100,000....."then".....anything over that 100,000 is taxed at 93%. Am I anywhere near comprehending this correctly?

Ha...The Beatles single handedly revived the British economy...so they got MBE ha ...for every pound they earned, 90% of it - 19 shillings and six-pence to be exact - would be taken by the government...
