This is 2024 and anyone listening to this gem from 1971 is a true believer: of George Harrison and his brilliance. I don't think this generation can appreciate the genius of George in penning these words. Is he talking of his lady love? Or, talking about God? Then there is the "wall of sound" background music perfected by Phil Spector... Those of you who are familiar with Derek and the Dominos can recognize the awesome drumming by late Jim Gordon. Those were the golden days of music.

It has joyful music and depressing words. It questions whether life is worth living without someone - or something. I will audaciously say that no, it is not worth living. You find beauty in some things, like music, but that's about it. Life is not full of joy but with setbacks you have to overcome. It's almost always depressing and has sporadic, joyful moments. It's a stretch even to call them joyful. We just have vices and temporary pleasures.

One heck of a love song this is. We have all experienced moments where no matter how much we love somebody we just can’t bring ourselves to say what is on our mind. But in spite of that kind of hangup we’d do anything to let the other person know we love them, even if it wasn’t by showing our love in traditional ways.
