Love George Jones and his singing one of a kind country gold. That voice wonder if George ever knew the gift he had for singing..that voice his way w words in the songs

Also you should listen to George Jones - Diary Of My Mind. A good friend of mine, Johnny Starks, wrote Diary Of My Mind for George. I worked with Johnny at Reynolds Metals Company In Muscle Shoals, Al. George lived in Florence, Al at the time, in 1976. It was at a time in George's life when he drank a lot. George and Johnny were good friends. George told Johnny that he got more request to sing Diary Of My Mind than any of his songs at the time. Her Name Is was the song that became a big hit though. Terrell Hatton, Russellville, AL.

You are absolutely right. Diary of my mind is totally awesome! The way George sings it will tear you heart out. The song sounds like a carbon copy of his life!

I was looking at a lot of videos tonight Sonny and Cher and George Jones Tammy Wynette and I'm thinking of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall then then really cared about their women the actors and singers today what I care more about the women they meet in their life when it be a better place if the men will like them though

@jasoneb2006 On account of their singing? Nah, they don't come close. They were great for other reasons.
@rsims8713 жыл бұрын
@AuH2O perhaps you are confusing exceptional singer with masterful vocalist? Johnny was definitely short or vocal technique in many ways, however he was most assuredly an exceptional singer.

It’s a silly fill in the blank song by Bobby Braddock. If your companion’s name is “Tammy”, It’s purely coincidental.

@AuH2O13 жыл бұрын
@jasoneb2006 Yeah well, your opinion sucks. Johnny Cash was a great many things, but an exceptional singer he was not. Granted he had a very distinctive voice, but that's not the same thing. And as for ole Hank, well Lefty had him beat hands down back in the day. Though Hank had the better songs.
