George was the absolute best country singer ever! Lord knows I'm gonna miss him. Rest in peace Mr. Jones, you brought such joy to so many and your music will last forever.

Praying for Randy Travis tonight and hoping he sees his Kennedy honors day. Out of my bones, On the other hand, Three Wooden Crosses, Diggin up bones, I thought that he walked on water and so many more. God, we pray for dear friend Randy.

It is sad when people leave us, but when the famous and talented such as George Jones leaves, there isn't that big hole there that with most seems to bother us. He left us a wealth of compositions to keep us happy and entertained for as long as we need them!

You can see how humble GJ is listening to his others sing his own music... he looked like he wanted to give a standing ovation to Alan Jackson! Alan did a great job, on this video and the funeral. It must have been very hard for him and all the performers! Thank you for sharing!!

How about a hell yeah for the amazing tribute to Mr. Jones. This tribute was long overdue. There is at least one person every year I cheer for the most at the Kennedy Center. 2008 was George Jones, the greatest country singer who has ever lived. I hope Willie Nelson will be inducted next year if he has not already.

All three did a good job, but Alan Jackson does the best, when it comes to sing Im A One Woman Man and He Stopped Loving Her Today and he will keep Country Music Alive, just like George Jones stated. I will listen to both George Jones and Alan Jackson until the day I die. Love from # 1 fan Linda Beaton of Calgary, Alberta Canada

I LOVE real Country music and Jones has ALWAYS been one of my biggest hero's. When I first met my wife, she was into rock music and if she listened to Country at all it was only the newer stars who were popular at the time (the late 90's)... she didnt even know who Jones was... I took her to see George the first year we were together and she kept saying she wouldnt enjoy it... Jones did He stopped loving Her- I looked over and my wife was BALLING. After, she stood and cheered louder than anyone

When Alan sings George's song,, He Stopped Loving Her Today,, I bet he was thinking about Tammy as his mind wondered n his mind was somewhere else during that song with that look on his face,, The songs about a man who loves a woman for years until his death,,he loved her till he died n they remained very close.. When George first heard the song in 1978 apparently he hated it,, probably to painful for him after his divorce from Tammy even though they were still performing together, n even then you could still see they loved each other very much, but then he ended up singing it n released it in 1980 ,, It was his first solo nunber 1 single in six years then,, and it has been named in several surveys as the greatest country song of all time :D R.I.P George xoxoxo

If only I had President Obama on speed dial. We could make that happen tonight. I think Bush said the same thing. I saw his lips move too. Not a very bright man but nice enough to get George Jones into The Kennedy Center. This is the greatest honor for any person who is a member of the performing arts.

I hate to say this, but I have to wonder if George was thinking just how much better he sang those songs. And I love Randy Travis. But George had more accurate bass on his version. Well, George had the phenomenal range. Alan Jackson sang beautifully. But there’s just something missing…or is it just me? George was supposedly a humble man. So maybe it’s just me putting thoughts in George’s head. Or maybe Dee Doodle showed up with his own opinions.
