I’m pretty sure he had a few this night and he sounds wonderful. No he sounds amazing ! He was fighting a lot of demons and he was beginning to climb out of the hell he had been living during this time. The GOAT. I wonder if the crowd was realizing they were listening to something special when he was singing this and I don’t see how he could have ever topped this version.

unfortunately George was so hammered here he sang verses in the wrong places .. in fact he forgot a lot of lines .. and did not sing them at all .. but even so .. I keep this gem in my favourites and return often to hear this version .. without doubt us real GJ fans will always forgive him when he delivers this depth of soul that is not possible for other singers .. ..

written by dallas frazier....recorded around 70 during a time jones was not very successful on the charts...i think he had almost 300 songs recorded in a short period and it was said it was not a happy time in his life as most of them were hurried and numbers not really up to par. i think this would have been a monster his, had it been originally released in the 90s or even before his death. dont know why
