The idea that James Bond would have worn a trilby into the 1980s is art to my eyes!!!!

I’m all of sudden dreaming of Lazenby era
@S.M.Jean-Mahmoud_Ier9 жыл бұрын
*Would have been huge in all aspects :* -We'd never have had the Moore era. -Diamonds Are Forever would have been the follow-up to OHMSS we never had. -The Man with the Golden Gun would have been a much, MUCH better movie, with a George Lazenby much more accustomed to asian culture and martial arts than Roger Moore could possibly ever dream of being. Plus, the scene in the dojo would have been much better and wouold have proven an important quality boost to the overall film, allowing EON to remove much of the "fun" aspects of the movie, and even Sheriff Pepper himself. -Lazenby would have had much more time to develop and hone his acting skills , technically making each movie better than the previous one. -Dalton would have made Octopussy & View to a Kill along with TLD & LTK, which both would have been better and helped him too get the fans accustomed to him. -The Living Daylights wouldn't have had the Roger Moore era fanciness, and be much darker, therefore, much better. -Blofeld's death scene in FYEO would have been 10 times more fitting, since what started with Lazenby's first film would have ended with Lazenby's last film.

If Lazenby accept the seven movie deal, he probably will exceed that, at least to Octopussy due to Sean Connery play in Never Say Never Again, so Brocolly will need an established actor to counter Connery, which is Lazenby who's been typecast as Bond more than anyone even Connery himself by this time. HECK! Maybe even Timothy Dalton will never play Bond. Remember, by the time 1989 coming, Lazenby still 50, "younger" enough for Bond. Even up to Goldeneye, he's still 56, younger than Roger Moore during his last Bond, A View to a Kill.

Your last point may or may not have been the case. They probably would've tried to kill off Blofeld earlier than FYEO, given that the McClory Estate fought for the rights to Blofeld and SPECTRE through the 60s and won, allowing Never Say Never Again to happen.

Lazenby's best possible run OHMSS to Property of a Lady

@@dodykusumanto8377 you do have a point, also I think if Dalton did Octopussy, they might have to do big changes to the script, Lazenby can do Tomorrow Never Dies if he could pull it off, and maybe The World Is Not Enough

I mean yeah, but was Blofeld really killed in FYEO...?
