George Lynch "Original Gangsta Replica" OG Bones Guitar #6 with Gerry Ganaden

Back in 2016 George Lynch and I started a project called OG Bones. We made exact replicas of the original J.Frog Bones guitar made famous back in the Dokken videos from 1986-1987. The pickups are custom wound by MJ at the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop.
This was the final setup with Gerry Ganaden for the last one completed on the series.

ESP doesn't build that. The logo is on there because it was on the It's Not Love vid. An ESP rep told George it had to have an ESP logo to be in the vid since he was endorsed by ESP, hence both logos.

Yes, ESP did not make the original bones guitar as seen in the Dokken videos and countless magazine photos from 86-88, but the neck was a left handed Kramer Focus 1000 neck, which was made at the ESP factory in Japan. Additional side markers were added on what was originally the treble side of the left handed neck. This was because the neck was flipped to a right handed guitar body (bones guitar) and George wanted side dots added.

Yes, the string angles were crazy with that ESP made/Kramer banana style headstock.

great looking guitar,...i ve got one built from a cnc blank and my friend who a luthier put it together,...thats when he noticed there are more than 1 exact copy of that guitar, there were many different versions thru the years, ...but i do like this one

This is the only one made from a laser scan of the original which was featured in the Dokken videos back in the 80s. The real guitar was brought out of the Hard Rock Cafe Memorabilia department and disassembled at ESP headquarters for a laser scan. That was all sanctioned by me in cooperation with George Lynch. The original is now in a private collection.

What is on Gerry's pedal board? I seen him one year ago playing a Dokken cover band at a bar in Indianapolis and his tone was killer. He was using a house amp which was a marshall JCM 2000

Makes sense being a Tele blank for those harder woods (like that mahogany) as George told me the original was northern maple making it as he liked bodyheavy (compared with the ESP remake he played that show with of which I asked)... I had a DDJ & JBJ set which had that same louder quality (better magnet or winding?) that makes me wonder if that's a "_ _ J" label pickup?

Hi, I met with MJ during the production and we decided to take the Dokken bucker and custom distress it to go with the condition of the original bones guitar pickup which was a distortion pickup from the mid 80s.
