Agreed. I hadn't seen this before, and was expecting age to have taken its toll, as it has (understandably) on many singers from that era, and later. Plus he's singing live - there's often a big difference between a track that's come out of the recording studio and a live version of it. So what he does here is fantastic. And well done Jools for bringing it to us.

This was my grandma's favorite song. She had a really difficult life (unfortunately, her alcoholism and mental illness brought quite a lot of hardship during my mother's childhood), but as a grandmother, she was the most wonderful human alive- even with her problems. Her birthday was Valentine's Day. She passed away almost 4 years ago. For so long this song was unlistenable. It was masochistic to listen to. But now I feel nothing but joy from it. Thank you George, for making an old woman happy, and for making me see that we shouldn't concentrate on death and sadness. Life's a garden, dig it. This song's for you, Patty.

Super Hit, habe George persönlich kennengelernt, eine unglaubliche Story, er war in den 80-zigern ziemlich am Boden, beim Essen erzählte ich ihm, daß ich seine erste LP hatte, er glaubte das nicht. Am nächsten Abend brachte ich die LP mit, George signierte diese für meinen " Best Friend ", da war ich richtig stolz!
