You don't understand what kind of power this song holds in its hands (well metaphorical hands)! I am certain that neither George Michael or the whole world would have imagined this song become such a sample in so many different categories of so many different genres for different things. It has been played in numerous Adam Sandler movies for comical relief. It has been part of movies about the 80s. It has been used in KZbin videos, has been mentioned in trillions of books, has been the song babies were made to and are still made to. This piece isn't just a simple song. It is THE song. And it is beautiful. I love it. Have ever since I was a little girl. Imagine little me in 1999 jamming to this song as it was playing on MTV. Yeah. That's how much I love it. Especially the last bit. I guess, you all can see that I have strong feelings concerning Careless Whisper.

I remember being a little girl in the 80s and this was one of my favorite songs. It's one of the songs I never get tired of and always have nostalgia for. It never feels cringey or outdated/old fashioned.. it's always perfect.
@thedudesfromCanada4 жыл бұрын
i think maybe the reason we get so stuck on these songs is it projects you into a timeless era. most vaporwave is strong 80s vibes that many of us that listen never lived through. we don't know one thing about the future- what houses will look like, what music will be popular, who you'll be. people who lived through those specific eras forget the pain and only remember the popular songs and the feelgood of walking in malls with friends. others can't make peace with what happened in the past. but for those of us who never lived then, who have trouble making peace with the present, never have to worry about making peace with a past that didn't happen. that's why it's so nostalgic, it's easy to find peace in something you never have to make peace with, it's easy to dream about a time you weren't obligated to be mentally, physically, emotionally present 24/7, but the 80s memorabillia makes it familiar and comfortable, which is something we can never get for the future. or maybe the song just slaps.

Hey. I think this is the advantage to social media and things like this. Don't let your heavy thoughts overtake you. You reach out instead of internalizing because there are many avenues to do that. You may not have the proximity of someone that you can call a loved one right now, but we are all on this Earth as the human race together. Thanks be to God for perspective and understanding... But I did not always have those things. I know now that it is okay and often important to be alone, but that is not the same thing as feeling lonely. It may not be the kind of love you are reaching for, but Love Loves you in a way that is beyond what two people can share. You don't have to walk by yourself. :)

Here's a song that I wrote regarding emotion and how to handle feeling overwhelmed. I wrote the song for children and their families but there are a lot of adults that tell me they use this song every day to help them combat anxiety and to just take a step back from what's going on. If you breathe in and breathe out during the chorus to the rhythm of the words it is very helpful. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmabYqqIgZ15atk

I just discovered this... Where have I been all this time? 😍 this part of KZbin is wow♡ I would love to dance on it with someone that likes this song as much as I do. People who like this are rare.
