The Brazilian jazz, thanks to spending time in Brazil with Anselmo. Must have been quite something to do these interviews 3 years after Anselmo's death and the very dark place George had been in for so long, unable to write and so fearful about so much - So sad to me is that here he seems to be managing this aspect of his career (the interviews) basically alright and then the poor man loses his mum the following year and he relives the intense grief and fears almost on a loop - the 1990s were so unkind to him 💔

Always heard that trip hop influence on Older. Glad I was not mistaken. He was a brilliant artist, and Older is my favorite record from him by far.
