I "had to" read this in high school. I chose to come back and listen again now at age 25. Pay attention kids, there's a reason we make you read this (and 1984, Brave New World, Lord of the Flies, etc.)

What better place than the same KZbin video they used to read it? As the other person said, it's usually better not to go to the comments on any show or audiobook before you read it.

Nice little symbolism of how the state eventually gives zero fuck about you when you no longer make a profit. Instead of healing the horse it was rather sold to slaughter for one last extra dip of cash. I know this novel was anti-communism, but it could also be translated into anti-business as well.

I play video games consistently and i also like reading it took me a while to find my preferred way of consuming books but it certainly isn't in book form. you are not superior to anyone, you are different and you enjoy reading differently.

It's almost like all the propaganda and lies in the book really had you questioning, as the reader/listener, what was really the truth? Nothing could be trusted, and a sense of paranoia gripped me. Living under a regime like this would be living hell.
