Saddam Hussein seems to have had narcissistic personality disorder to a very high degree. There are a lot of people like Saddam in the world, who feel entitled to having control over the environment, reality, and feelings of others, and to project their unconscious self-loathing onto; like people who tailgate, for example. A narcissist, when criticized, will often retaliate by criticizing back, but will never apologize, feel remorseful, or show any concern at all for the basic needs of others - except of course only when it will help them gain social standing; like giving to charity or speaking highly in public of someone who they are abusive to in private. NPD is one of the biggest problems in the world right now - it's a mental health plague.
