I think it was more they were laughing because they couldn’t believe him singing boogie. @phillipmatthews88303 жыл бұрын
So I read that they were laughing because George Strait doesn't normally sing too many high notes. Which is the way Ronnie Dunn sings "Boogie". So hearing him try to sing it like Ronnie made them laugh.. If you notice George stops singing it that way halfway through the song.
@sportsjefe3 жыл бұрын
@@phillipmatthews8830 Yeah, "Boot Scootin' Boogie" is probably the Brooks and Dunn hit that is the least "George-like"; it's fast, it's rowdy, you know, it's a party song. So just as an idea, I'm sure Kix and Ronnie (like the rest of us) were incredibly curious to see how it'd go!

I love how much fun George is having here! He looks so relaxed. I've watched this over and over. Thanks Ken Burns for rekindling my Strait crush through "Country Music"!

My jaws dropped when he finished, and I just couldn't believe he knocked it out of the stratosphere! That's why they call him King George! Most wonderful guy too!

I love Ronnie laughing at the first couple of attempts on the high note. Then George decided to fry it instead of hit it. Worked better. Killed it!

I don't 'Honky-Tonk' anymore, but I still enjoy the old-school music. This one, imo, is in the top 5 of ALL-TIME best in that country genre.
