Good man George. Just another small tip for anyone that has this key, put your key ring around the hole at the end that’s fixed to the fob and not the hole that detaches to the pull out key as the movement and weight of your keys over time can cause the catch to become weak and your keys will detach from the fob eventually

Hi George another great video! The E92 coupe does not have a key lock under the boot lid so this cannot be opened with the key. Also if you disconnect the battery in the boot don’t fully close the lid as this will lock the boot! 🤬

Cheers Neil, yes pretty sure the LCI E90 is the same too👍🏻

But what happens if you then connect a jump starter? Then you have electricity in the system, haven't you? And then you should be able to open the boot, shouldn't you?

@@leiflillandt1488 yes absolutely but if you are not aware of it and you don’t have a jump pack you are f****d the back seats only drop down once released in the boot unlike the E36 coupe. Speaking from experience 🤣🤣🤣

@@GeorgeAusters I wondered were it was ! I'm new to owning a bmw ... I got a 2008 e92 320d coupe... and I was looking every were for engine temp..... I know now cheers buddy..... Quick question why do sometimes the exhaust system right through get extremely hot? I drove back from work the other day n heard this ping, ping ,ping !! Walked round to exhaust tip and it was frighteningly hot.... then yesterday drove it back from work n the exhaust was only mildly warm like most cars..... any ideas ?

I had a look underneath the car with a torch n saw nothing and all heat Shields n parts fixed ok .... it is werid.... could it be again dpf ? Or prop shaft or gear box playing up.... its strange... Hi on a E92 if you press the open button twice the passenger and drivers windows open half way when the doors are opened. This is to aid you getting in and out as the doors do not have an upper frame. Very handy in a tight parking situation for both doors. Also, the rear key lock on the boot of an E92, I could be wrong but not all E90/92 have a folding rear seat so no access to boot hence they have a key lock. At some point (LCI maybe) all rear seats were foldable so they removed the key lock ? I have a 2009 pre LCI (one of the last) and it has split seats and the key lock so maybe it was just luck ? Cheers !
