George Ezra is so talented. I've been listening to his music for about a year now. I went to a Sam Smith concert in Chicago and the crowd was so dead when George opened... which is understandable because no one was familiar with his music but some guy even shouted "IS THIS YOUR LAST SONG YET?!" very audibly and I was so pissed. George's music is a lot more mature than what people would expect, everyone needs to give him a chance! Cassy O', Budapest, and Blame It on Me are amazing songs! Plus he's adorable and goofy. Love this guy. HOWEVER; his band is a little lackluster. I swear his bass player (although SUPER attractive) didn't smile once and looked so bored the entire time.

She didn't speak or understand English but she just loved his voice and the music video and the tune of the song. When we got a smart TV, this was the first song she asked me to play for her. We listened to it together end of number of times after that. It's been 5 years since she passed away and this song reminds me of her every single time. One of the most beautiful natural voices of our generation along with Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. These are the artists that our kids will still think are amazing even when they're old

"Blame It On Me" The garden was blessed by the Gods of me and you We headed west for to find ourselves some truth, ooh What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? We counted all our reasons, excuses though we made We found ourselves some treasure, and threw it all away, ooh What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? When I dance alone, and the sun's beating down, Blame it on me When I lose control and the veil's overused, Blame it on me What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? Caught in the tide of blossom, caught in the carnival Your confidence forgotten, I see the gypsies rule, ooh What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? When I dance alone, and the sun's beating down, Blame it on me When I lose control and the veil's overused, Blame it on me What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? When I dance alone, and the sun's beating down, Blame it on me When I lose control and the veil's overused, Blame it on me When I dance alone, I know I'll go Blame it on me ooh When I'll lose control, I know I'll go Blame it on me ooh What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for? What you waiting for? No, what you waiting for?

I finally decided to find out who sung this song. I had a friend (let’s call her Jen) who had a little girl(Joy), when I met them she was still crawling. Jen would play this song for Joy all the time because it was her favorite song that Joy’s dad played for her before he “left” So anyways, when Joy was 2 years old, almost 3, Jen and I had a falling out and during this time she left Joy in the van for 8 hours and killed her. That’s why this song I’ll never forget, Joy loved this song sooooo much. I miss her more 🥺

This song is so upbeat and has a melody and rhythm so bright that it took me until today to finally realize he is talking about losing the girl to marriage on the hook. “When I dance alone and the sun’s beaming down… blame it on me” “When I lose control and the veils over you… blame it on me”
