Couscous is one of the national dishes of Morocco, you can also try Tajine with prunes, Tanjiya, Bastilla, Rfissa. What I recommend is to visit the northern cities like Tangier to taste fish dishes, then the blue city Chefchaouen, then Marrakesh in the south, avoid big cities like Casablanca, Rabat and Fez. And one thing you should consider is that Moroccans love Japaneses people because they are respectful and hardworking, and don't mind it if someone identified you as Chinese or Korean because it's really hard to distinguish especially for Moroccan who have little contact with East Asia countries.

LOL they gave you the buttermilk(not yoghurt) to drink it with the couscous it's traditional. So it dingests better and it actually tasts good with it because couscous can be dry and to get it into your system you need something to drink(soda is also fine). Also couscous is a big meal so if you buy 1 it is actually meant for 2-3 people.

Hi George! 😃 Here in Brazil we also have this dish. We call it Cuscuz, and it's very traditional in the northeast part of the country. I don't know how it become popular in Brazil, but i remember that when i was a kid my mom used to do it almost every day for breakfast. 🥞🍳 It's not exactly the same from Marocco but it's very similar.
