USEFUL TIP! You can use lethal force against the "beast" forms against the B&B bosses and it won't count as a kill. It will only count as a kill if you use lethal force against their "beauty" forms - aka their human selves.

Having just played and beaten the game for the first time yesterday, I discovered that the bed works just as well against Octopus as it does the Haven Troopers. Just hide under it and be patient. She will be forced to chase you and you can shoot or Tranq the hell out of her as she shoots at you with her P90. Not only that, but because her P90 is fairly inaccurate and you're mostly covered she only gets a couple hits in per burst which heal up near immeadiately. The only times you have to come out are when she hides, but the moment after you do, back under the bed you go. So all in all, Octopus is just as easily cheesed by a Bed as Wolf is by a truck. The Tentacle Monster can't get you while you're hiding under the bed. Hope you see thus!

For the Act 2 escape, you won't recover health if you're on the .50 cal gun. However, you do have infinite ammo and you WILL heal if you stay kneeling. It takes a bit more time than just going for the doors, and you may have to CQC or fight soldiers, but it'll recover a bar or two of life if you messed up the prior section and don't want to use an item.

An even better method for Crying Wolf is just stay under the truck that's in the area. She'll only appear in front of it which leaves her open to sniping, sometimes she'll hurt you by jumping on top of the truck but you can heal.

Heres a tip for the frog fight before the mantis boss fight, on the first wave knock all the frogs out except 1, then throw a smoke grenade at him and shoot him with the tranq gun. If you see his stamina run out while hes in the smoke he will stand there coughing even though he should be out, throw another smoke and when its done and he faints it skips the next 2 waves and begins the boss fight

honestly for laughing octopus, just use the same technique that you used on the frog units right before her (minus the cig if you want). just hide under the bed and she'll burst through the window periodically and just shoot her. some of the octo bombs will get ya, but they do so little damage you'll recover it in seconds. you might have to go out again if she's disguised, but just shoot her once you find her and run back to the bed. I essentially did the same with crying wolf under a truck, but it takes way longer and you have to go out more. probably would have been easier to just stay out honestly...

I like how the Ipod trick turns Snake in to a boss (pun intended) with his own gimmick. Some bosses will hide during their fight, some will teleport around the battlefield... And old man Snake just gonna get comfortable on the floor, listening to music, and sometimes shoot you.

in the raven fight, you can spam stun grenade bullets at her with a grenade launcher too, and shoot the hell out of her wings when she guards with them afterward, causing her to land on a roof for a free mosin shot if youre having trouble aiming .
