To be fair you have given more hope than you took away so it balances out in a way but everyman has done it at least once even you think it's banter or in Jamaican terms "pressure" or "hot seat" it still change a few minds even tho they laugh with you they are hurting so you won't really know....life is a mystery.@@prestonmatthews725

Mr. George, thank you so much for producing this historical video. I am watching from Florida. I am from Jamaica, and your video has pointed out the gospel truth concerning Jamaica's history as it relates to first world interference. The level of propaganda that was used by the West to destabilize Jamaica was unbelievable. I was a 12:19 teenager when I noticed that the wholesaler (Chinese) was selling out their businesses and moving to the US. So, your video is truly on point in every respect. Thanks again, sir, for showing the world that Jamaica suffered gross injustice by the West.

Michael Manley was last prime minister that meant Jamaicans any good. The cia sided with Edward Seaga and Jamaica have went down hill to this day. Implementing policies that only benefited one class of Jamaicans. Countries such as Singapore copied and implemented Manley's economic vision and the proof of Singapore's growth is evidence enough.

At one time in the early 90s, there was a real push back against "SLACKNESS" in Reggae and Dancehall, talking about sexual acts and gun talk. The government and various roots reggae singers were highly critical of young dancehall artists and asked them to clean their lyrics up. They did it for 5 years and then the slackness came back twice as strong and has only gotten worse... 🙄

I like how you rhyme. But ... 0:40 I'm not too sure about this. That's too general of a statement. Edward Seaga goes into detail as to the real reason that a State of Emergency was called. Seaga's first volume of "My Life and Leadership" describes the events in gory details. 1:52 "White passing politician" ... What does that mean? His father wasn't white. Norman Manley was born to mixed-race parents in Roxborough in Jamaica's Manchester Parish. 3:57 I doubt that. There was indeed communist connection within the party. Trevor Munroe left that party to create the Workers Party, a communist party. Intelligence gathered that Manley made visits to USSR. 4:29 There's no evidence of CIA interference. While CIA maybe involved in gathering intelligence as do many countries, no evidence exists of interference. 8:55 How do you make that link? Where's the evidence? 11:00 These statements about Bob Marley is Kartel's interpretation based on his alignment with the People's National Party. Do another poem that gives clear evidence of CIA interference in Jamaica?

I am not sure if I agree or disagree with the comment that Jamaica wasn't ready to break away from Britain and become independent. Jamaica’s independence was a leap into the unknown, but it was also a necessary step toward becoming the nation it is today. The process of "finding its way" involved mistakes, successes, and a growing sense of pride in its unique identity. Independence gave Jamaicans the freedom to shape their future, even if that meant navigating the complexities of inexperience and forging a path forward through trial and perseverance. This journey has been central to Jamaica’s growth as a vibrant and influential nation on the global stage.
@GeorgeThePoet13 күн бұрын
True. I based the statement on the fact that Jamaica still depended on business from Britain and couldn’t fully commit to the Trini PM Eric Williams’ vision of a Caribbean federation at the time. But I agree, every country had to step out on their own at some point
