just in case anyone wants to know how the CL1B works: What he explains is not what fixed/manual on a CL1B does. fixed-man has the attack time of the fixed setting which is 1ms. and the release is variable as in manual mode. it is not a blend. in fixed manual the attack knob doesn't do anything.

False. The attack actually still dictates how long until the fixed kicks in. I just learned this from the manual. In fixed mode it's 1ms, but at full attack, it's like the opposite of a lookahead to let the constants through.
@NorthernSkiesMusic2 жыл бұрын
@@geraldbarbato8800 I think maybe you should take a look at manual again when you have a chance. I am talking strictlly about the hardware. I have no idea about the plugin. Maybe that has extra features that the hsrdware does not. I have owned and used this unit daily for over 20 years. Although, I am human and could be wrong...as humans often are. But this information is clearly stated in the manual under the attack and release section. Take a look again if you have time. I use fixed/manual a lot....and my attack knob doesn't seem to do anything in this mode. Cheers.
