When Lien James turned 50, she became an active runner. In the last 22 years, she has completed 136 marathons around the world. In March of 2022, Lien was getting ready for a half marathon when her knee popped. She met with Dr. Kevin Park, orthopedic surgeon, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and was diagnosed with severe arthritis. Lien had a knee replacement with Mako SmartRobotics in January, and was able to run a half-marathon by April. Visit MedStarHealth.org/Ortho for more information.
